Sanctus is a digital saints directory built from the ground up. a fast PWA with nearly 5,000+ Catholic saints at your fingertips. The data lives in Supabase, the UI is a custom overlay-based system (no routing library), and everything from PWA caching to DNS setup was handled end-to-end. The result is a clean, borderless app with instant search, bookmarking, and a daily saint feature, all without a single page reload.
The biggest challenge was designing the right UX pattern. Instead of traditional page routing, I built a single-page overlay system where search, bookmarks, and saint details float as centered modals over a grid of saint cards, no navigation, no page transitions, just a fluid, app-like feel. Everything from the scroll-driven header to the skeleton loading states and install prompt was hand-tuned for polish.
